Hello! I'm a composer/producer from Europe, currently finishing my third solo album.

I'm really interested in working with video/computer games as a composer - I've been a gamer since I could reach to the keyboard (back when ZAK and Prince of Persia were THE games!)

I dedicated my last album "Wastelands" to the Fallout series as a tribute. (it got the average of 7.5/10 in album reviews). Take a listen - www.myspace.com/evestus
My current style can be heard at www.myspace.com/riseofthenewscum

I'm currently heavily into classical music (I have 4 cellists in my current live line-up), mixed with heavyer, grinding synths and natural, slightly distorted, drums.

I have been working in television, done soundtracks for tv shows, cartoons and movies, and have also produced hip-hop backgrounds for various rappers, but my real passion lies in gaming.

So, if anyone is looking for a composer, who can deliver classical, jazzy, hip-hop, industrial or whatever-the-hell sounding atmospheres - feel free to contact me!

All the best!
My mother, who is a retired psychologist turned storyteller (in the oral tradition) sent me this article, which is really interesting. She wanted to know what an MMO was :). I always thought that too many words in a game was a bad idea. ... if I wanted to read a story instead of play a game I would get a book!

Hi everyone,

Gamasutra's sister site, Game Career Guide, has posted a full chapter of Game Development Essentials: Game QA & Testing, the book I wrote with Jeannie Novak, Indiespace's creator.

The chapter focuses on how to break into the industry as a game tester. It also touches on different points of entry (Craigslist, developer forums, modding), resume building, interview tips and everything else in between.
I have a review for you! I've always been a sucker for late night sundance movies, but this one moved me the most by far. Though it was easy to get lost in the plot, and lose it completely by the end, I have to say the simple ambience and dream like quality of this movie made me hyper with moody inspiration. Not to mention Laura Dern's exceptional and moving performance. Inland Empire directed by David Lynch left me feeling both distrubed and inspired, curious and afraid. It's been a long time…

"With Emily, Image Metrics has proven that reality in facial animation is not only achievable sooner, but more efficiently, than many in the entertainment industry originally thought. When we first started working on Emily, our goal was to create an exact replica of the real actress Emily O'Brien. Why? Because there was no other way to determine how close we had come to reality if we did not replicate a "real" person. Judging from the reaction of people at SIGGRAPH 2008, and the hundreds of media hits, we've come pretty close to the mark."
