Algol is the brightest star in the constellation Perseus ("hero") -- located in the eye of Medusa and signifying "demon." This star (also known as the "demon star") is an eclipsing binary that symbolizes childhood nightmares. "Shadow" is the third piece in the Spring Suite from *Reign of Fire* -- and also the third piece on the album.
